Rushville, Indiana – Forming an alliance that will bring high-speed Internet, telephone and television services to unserved and under-served rural Indiana communities, Omnicity and Cue Connex announced an exclusive partnership that is the next step in bringing a full complement of broadband services to Indiana’s heartland.

Commenting on the agreement between the two companies, Omnicity COO, Greg Jarman, said, “We are very excited about the partnership with Cue Connex. The Cue model will add municipal services to our existing rural deployments and gives us the ability to add fiber and a true carrier-class wireless infrastructure in the counties we serve.” Omnicity is the state’s largest Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), bringing broadband services to 30 rural Indiana counties through their relationship with Service Concepts, Inc and the Rural Electric Municipal Coops (REMCs).

Cue Connex began in 2007 bringing broadband services such as Internet, telephone and television services to mainly rural areas of the Midwest. One of the first projects the company completed was fiber optic connection to the Noblesville School Corporation.  The arrangement with Cue Connex will add vital municipal services to Omnicity’s broadband offerings including automatic meter reading infrastructure to water and utility companies and first responder networks for police, fire and EMS.

The partnership with Omnicity gives Cue Connex the ability to deploy their business model into rural Indiana within weeks. President and Founder of Cue Connex, LLC, David Weddell said, “We have developed a business model that establishes a public/private partnership with municipalities to bring Automatic Meter Reading infrastructure to water and electric utilities throughout Rural America. We also bring First Responder Networks into the rural market to add safety and security for police, fire and EMS services.” Laurie Byall, CEO of Cue Connex said, “Omnicity has experience with rapid growth, quality customer service and already covers many of the communities we have approached with our services.”

The exclusive arrangement between Omnicity and Cue Connex will ultimately bring not only high-speed Internet, but telephone and television services as well to the rural areas of Indiana that are under served or not served at all by traditional telephone and cable companies. Building a carrier-class fiber and wireless network, the partnership will create an Internet Protocol (IP) based network with open standards to deliver those much-needed information technology services.

The new partnership is actively seeking to merge and acquire other Indiana based Internet providers to expand the network statewide. For more information, contact Greg Jarman by calling 317-903-8178 or via email at
